You're new to St. Louis and you don't understand what people mean when they say North City, South City, Central Corridor, Near South Side, Near North Side, and the West End? And you can't understand why some of your neighbors call your neighborhood "Dogtown" and others insist it's "Clayton-Tamm" (not to mention where a name like "Dogtown" came from).
Well, you'll have eventually come to the right place. I wish to maintain this page as a neighborhood guide for St. Louis. I'm not exactly sure how this will pan out at the moment. But I want to be able to point readers to a resource for choosing the right neighborhood to live, play, and invest in. St. Louis has 79 "official" neighborhoods--and so many more sub-areas that have their own names and distinctions. It's not likely that all 79 will get their own description, but I'll do my best to find a way to aggregate information.
Give me some time to get this page going!
